|Lowfat batter with no added sugar or sweetener|
2 very ripe bananas
1 container of vegan soy or coconut vanilla yogurt
to thin out batter...vegan milk
4-5 slices of bread of choice, or fresh banana bread (I used flax whole wheat bread)
margarine or oil for sauté pan, or non-stick pan (we now have many healthy alternatives to teflon non-stick, here is a link to ozeri green earth ceramic cooktop)
to taste...cinnamon, nutmeg, or spice of choice
- blend bananas and yogurt in blender, add vegan milk, a little at a time, to thin out batter until it reaches the consistency of cake batter.
- let your sauté pan get nice and hot, then add oil or margarine and fry the dipped bread slices until nice and brown on both sides.
- no need to add syrup, the bananas are the sweetener.
